ORGANIC GLUTEN FREE DATES AND NUTS TRUFFLES RECIPE

Did you know that hazelnuts, along with almonds, are the fruits richest in vitamin E? A very important vitamin that protects the skin from the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays.

They are also rich in fibre and minerals, a real natural energy supplement!

Try making these delicious DATES AND NUTS TRUFFLES , delicious and quick to prepare, perfect for those who practise sport or for those who need to recharge their energy both physically and mentally.

We used our Toasted sicilian whole shelled hazelnuts Spigabuona, certified organic farming ITALY.

INGREDIENTS

  • 140 g Toasted sicilian whole shelled hazelnuts Spigabuona
  • 70 g pitted dates 
  • 50 g Organic whole almonds flour Spigabuona
  • 40 g cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder (plus more for rolling)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoon creamy hazelnuts butter (or other nut or seed butter)
  • pistachio nibs

PROCEDURES

Add hazelnuts the food processor and pulse into a meal. Add the dates and continue to blend until you obtain a sort of moist compost.

Add the cacao, the Almond flour, the hazelnut cream and mix. Scoop out rounded (about 25-30) androll in pistachio grain

Store them in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator up to 1 week or in the freezer up to 1 month.
