INGREDIENTS

For the waffle batter.

  • 180 gr of Energy protein pancake Mix
  • 190 g of milk or vegetablee bandage
  • 80 g of melted butter
  • 60 g of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of yeast
  • Bourbon Vanilla
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil or coconut

To garnish and decorate the waffles:

  • 2 tablespoons of Nutella + 1 tablespoon of chopped hazelnuts
  • 2 cucchiai di nutella + 1 cucchiaio di granella di nocciola
  • Whipped cream + 2 tablespoons of raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons of blueberries + 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
  • Icing sugar for all the waffles
  •

PROCEDURE

First separate the yolks from the egg whites. Whip the egg whites until stiff with half the sugar. Then whip egg yolks and the rest of the sugar, salt, vanilla a few seconds, add milk and cold melted butter. Finally incorporate the flour and sifted baking powder until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.

Pour the egg whites little by little into the mixture and mix with a spatula from the bottom upwards so as not to disassemble the mixture.

For perfect baking you will need a square waffle iron (but you can also make round waffles with this same recipe).

First pour 1 teaspoon of oil on both sides of the cold plate and dab the drops with a paper towel, taking care to wipe off any excess oil, but leaving the surfaces greasy. This step will result in browned and caramelised waffles!

Heat up the griddle. When it is nice and hot, add 2 - 3 ladles of dough.

Take care not to leave any gaps, but also not to overfill: leave 2 mm of space from the edge of the wafer plate. Finally close and let cook 2 minutes. Open. You will see that the wafer has formed but is still clear. Close again. Flip the plate over and cook for another 2 minutes, until both sides are completely golden brown.

Open and unmould on a plate.

How to garnish and decorate Waffles: For convenience, the two halves can be cut into soft squares. Dust with icing sugar and stuff as desired.

Here are your Waffles ready to enjoy!
